Your data with us
Privacy policy
This page explains which personal data we process when you visit our website, book through our booking portal or contact us, and what rights you have.
This is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
The key points
- This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking services, or social media plugins.
- Fonts and images are stored on our own server. No data is sent to Google or other third parties when you visit the website.
- In the booking portal we only use a strictly necessary session cookie and process your details to handle your booking.
- Our hosting provider briefly stores technically necessary access data.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Alexander Bausch
Moselcamping „Pölicher Held“
Paulinstraße 53
54292 Trier, Germany
Phone: +49 651 23300
Email: mail@moselcamp.de
We are not required by the GDPR or German law to appoint a data protection officer.
2. Hosting and server log files
Our website, our booking portal and our email mailbox are hosted by:
ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich
Hauptstraße 68
02742 Friedersdorf, Germany
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The provider processes your data only on our instructions. The servers are located in data centres in Germany.
Each time you visit our website or the booking portal, the server automatically stores the following data in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested
- website from which you came to us (referrer)
- browser type and version, operating system
We need this data to deliver the website, keep it running reliably and fend off attacks. Without this processing the website cannot be displayed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other data or analysed for advertising purposes. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest or anonymised so that they can no longer be linked to a person.
3. Encryption
The website and the booking portal are delivered over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). You can recognise this by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar.
4. Cookies and storage on your device
Website: This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage or similar techniques to store or read information on your device. As with any website, your browser simply keeps images, fonts and stylesheets in its cache so that the page loads faster. This is technically necessary.
Booking portal: The booking portal sets a session cookie (“PHPSESSID”). It links your entries to your session during the booking process and is deleted when you close your browser. It is not used for advertising or analysis.
Both are strictly necessary for the service you have requested. Consent under Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) is therefore not required (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), and you will not see a cookie notice.
5. Fonts
The fonts used on the website are stored locally on our server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made when the page loads.
6. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you give us (for example your name, email address, phone number and your request) in order to answer your enquiry. Our email mailbox is hosted by the provider named above.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or booking. In all other cases it is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing your details is voluntary, but without them we cannot answer your enquiry.
We delete your data once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (see section 7) require us to keep it.
7. Online booking via buchen.moselcamp.de
We operate our booking portal at buchen.moselcamp.de ourselves. When you book, we process:
- name, address, country, email address and phone number,
- travel dates, number and age group of guests, dogs,
- type of accommodation, pitch, electricity and other services booked,
- payment method and your comments (for example a vehicle registration number).
The purpose is to process your booking and carry out your stay. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The details marked as required are necessary for concluding the contract; without them we cannot accept the booking.
We also fulfil legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR):
- Guests of foreign nationality fill in a registration form on arrival (Sections 29, 30 of the German Federal Registration Act). It is kept for one year after departure and destroyed within three months thereafter.
- Booking and invoice data that we must keep for tax and commercial law reasons are stored for up to ten years (Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code, where applicable Section 257 of the German Commercial Code).
- To meet our tax obligations, we pass invoice data to our tax advisor and to accounting service providers.
We delete all other details once they are no longer needed to handle your stay, at the latest at the end of the calendar year following your departure.
8. Bauernstube Pölicher Held
The restaurant on the campsite is run independently by a tenant. Reservations, orders and other enquiries to the restaurant are processed by the tenant on their own responsibility, as controller within the meaning of the GDPR. We do not receive this data.
9. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to websites of other providers. Those providers are responsible for their content and data processing. Data is only transferred to the other provider once you click on such a link.
10. Transfers to third countries
When you visit this website and when we handle your enquiries and bookings, we do not transfer any data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
11. Your rights
You have the right at any time to
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have incorrect data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR),
- have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- if you have given us your consent: withdraw it with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Simply contact us using the details above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz
Hintere Bleiche 34
55116 Mainz, Germany
www.datenschutz.rlp.de
12. Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
13. No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
